| Employment & Training Services
SOC provides employment and rehabilitation services to assist, empower and support individuals with disabilities to achieve employment, independence and integration in the workplace and in the community. SOC's comprehensive rehabilitative services promote and increase self-sufficiency, quality of life and/or occupational skill development. The level of supervision and program support services provided vary according to the preferences, service needs and abilities of program participants.
Job Placement Services
Our Job Placement Program provides career exploration, job-seeking skills, and job development and placement services. Other services include: transportation training, on-the-job training and follow-along. Emphasis is placed on finding, securing and retaining placement within integrated work settings. Transitional Employment Services
SOC's Transitional Employment Services help students with disabilities and people with disabilities receiving public assistance transition into employment. Community-Based Services
Our Community-based Programs provide paid employment contract sites located in the community. In most instances SOC employees are integrated with host company employees. As necessary, program training and support services provide for the acquisition of job skills, work habits and the further development of Adult Daily Living Skills. This is to maximize earnings, independence and employment potential. Emphasis is placed on an appropriate match for work tasks, environment and location. Contract Services include: Visitor's Center & Mail Order Sales, Mailroom, Document Processing, Data Entry, Copy Center, Fulfillment, Warehouse and/or Distribution services. Facility-Based Services
Our Facility-based Programs provide training and support services to develop Adult Daily Living Skills that promote self-sufficiency in an occupational environment. Movement to community-based placement is encouraged, as indicated. Emphasis is placed on continuing education/training to promote community integration and independence.
